Yes, sir!
Hamilton Military Museum is set on the land of Dundurn National Historic Site. The 1-hour guided tour of the mansion was not interactive enough for my then 5-year-old son, but he totally dug the military museum (included in the cost of admission of Dundurn's visit). First we examined a large cannon sitting by the museum's entrance. Then, we entered the small but efficient museum. It traces military history from the War of 1812 until World War I, using photos, uniforms and artillery pieces. In a small, dark corridor, a trench has been recreated with realistic sound effects. We had the uneasy feeling of really being at war. Since my last visit, they've added a Discovery Gallery for children, with hands-on activities allowing them to wear costumes, load a cannon, build a fort and more.
