Above it all
You go up to the podium roof (that’s the part of City Hall that looks like a spaceship) from the large ramp in Nathan Phillips Square. I though it was impressive to get closer to the curved towers. City Hall Podium Green Roof is a year-round garden made both of perennial and seasonal plants and tall grasses. The layout evolves over the seasons. The concrete path which runs around this green roof is half a kilometre long (and I’ve seen some beginner bike riders take advantage of this!). You get a good view over Nathan Phillips Square and you get to see the CN Tower from a different angle. When I visited, I could see that squirrels have already adopted the gardens.
