Works for us

Perfect end-of-the-summer activity! Reduced admission fee after 4 p.m.! Wild Waterworks is open daily from June 10 to September 5 2017.

Here's a great suggestion if you're one of those parents feeling guilty because it's almost the end of the summer and you still haven't done "anything" with the kids. (Don't worry, you're not the only one!) I've always felt it was easier for me to manage the kids in Wild Waterworks’ layout compared to the other water parks I've visited. The wave pool sits in the heart of the action. My son could easily find us on his way back from one of the slides or the Easy River. Wild Waterworks’ lazy river is a sinuous water path and the only one I know of that comes equipped with side sprays, fountains and nooks and crannies. Little Squirt Works, the large wading pool for younger bathers, is quite fun with its unusual shape framed by stairs. The water isn't higher than the knees. It is full of small fountains that squirt intermittently and little roofs streaming with water.

We LOVE to arrive at Wild Waterworks right after 4 p.m., when the admission fee is reduced. The mid-afternoon traffic on the way to Hamilton from Toronto is not as heavy as it can be earlier in the day. Plus, many families choose to leave the attraction around that time, meaning there’s hardly any wait at the slides. We finish this with dinner at Hutch's on the Beach, the greasy-spoon by the water (within Confederation Park).
