The first time I took my nephews from Montreal to this square, they thought they had arrived in New York! There's indeed a buzz to the place, with the line-up of activities (multicultural markets and shows, outdoor movies, free entertainment, etc.), the numerous animated billboards, the giant guitar of the Hard Rock Café and the huge crowd gathering at the crosswalk of Yonge and Dundas, not to mention the adjacent Eaton Centre and the AMC movie theatre. When there's room left by the market's stands, you can see some twenty water sprays shooting from the ground, which kids find very hard to resist.
