Family rodeo?
Where else could your child try "mutton" rodeo, pig catching, egg throwing or wheelbarrow racing? This fair was in its 154th year when we attended the event. The whole Family Rodeo was so much fun to watch. Kids willing to beat the record achieved by the previous participant were dismounted from their mutton in the flash of an eye. Young partners were holding to dear life in the wheelbarrows pushed by their parents. There was even a Frying Pan Throwing Contest for the mothers. There were demonstrations, acrobatic motorcycle shows, tap dancing and music in the barn, midway rides and even a demolition derby. In another barn, we could see the best "anything" made by local kids: best "ugly cupcake", best "rock concert" (made out of rocks), best "odd-shaped veggie", etc.
