Pearson International Airport (Mississauga)

There!

A mom should have been involved in the design of Pearson Airport. She would have made sure that you get to see the planes take off (as a reward) when you're accompanying travellers! Instead, we have to rely of a few improvised viewing points for some decent plane spotting. Depending on the winds, planes will use different runways. One makes them fly over Hwy 427. A good way to view them for free is from Carlingview Street, a parallel street east of Hwy 427. (You can see planes at closer range from outside the Coffee Time on Carlingview, which allows you to treat the kids to a snack between two planes.) The other runway makes planes fly over Airport Road. You can view them landing from Airport Road, at the Wendy’s at 6585 Airport Road, almost across the street from the runway.
