Attention shoppers

Got a child passionate about aviation? Check the Prop Shop in Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport in Markham. It is baffling to think that there is no equivalent at Pearson Airport. Posters, clothes (when I visited, I saw a mini bomber jacket!), models, pins, birthday cards, cake decorations, trinkets, puzzles, DVDs; it's all there. There's no place from which to observe the planes at this airport (mostly single and twin engine piloted by students) but, depending on the winds, you can go to Valleywood Street, at the foot of the runway (north of Hwy 7, turn west at Woodbine Avenue) or try Allstate Street, a dead-end street further at the end of Valleywood.
