On my wish list of places to visit
Windfest is a kite festival which has been offered for the last two years. It seems to be there to stay and it is a good thing since the Kitefest traditionally held in Milliken Park was shut down in 2010 thanks to a new municipal law forbidding people to fly their kites in that park. As with its predecessor, this event offers kite flying demonstrations from flyers from across North America, a kid’s zone, and you make your own kite or buy one on the premises. And it’s at the beach!
