Website: www.gokartsatpolsonpier.comNearby restaurants: • Polson Pier has a patio facing Toronto Islands and offering the best view of Toronto city line. Kids are allowed at the tables until 9 p.m.
While you are there: • Just a bit further down Cherry Road, you'll find a very big Asian grocery store, quite exotic by our standards, with all kinds of products you don't see in regular stores and a big take-out buffet. I've always thought it would be nice to buy a take-out and go eat it at Cherry Beach two minutes down the road.

On the way to the beach
We’ve done go-kart rides when the circuit was north of the Polson Pier complex. They took it out for a few years and we can now enjoy them again, closer to the golf range. It’s the only downtown go-kart place. Drivers must be 132 cm minimum and 11 year and older. Younger and shorter drivers can ride for free with drivers 18 years and older in the double-karts. I think this is a good birthday party combo if you pair it with a picnic at Cherry Beach (1-minute drive down the road). In Spring 2012, they’re opening a new high speed track to be used with Nascar-like karts.
