Wild!

This place has a wonderful play barn! With zip line, ladders, slides, climbing ropes and tons of wood shavings to soften the landings, this is heaven for the kids. And this conservation area is almost a zoo. We saw free-roaming rabbits, geese flying over the reservoir (from the observation tower, less than 15 minutes away from the Visitor Centre on the Lookout Trail) and raptors in the Raptor Walkway (hosting non-releasable residents due to permanent injuries). We also saw bisons staring at us impassively at the end of the short Raptor Centre Trail. On our way back, we watched the wild ducks from the Lookout Blind. Weather permitting, raptors presentations are offered in a 6,000 sq. ft. netted outdoor enclosure. Otherwise, indoor presentations are offered in the Aerie Theatre.

After years of doing all kinds of outings with my children, I can assure you the secret to a perfect outing lies in the details, not the destination.
