It is just west of Don Montgomery Community Centre but you’ll need to be creative to find your way back there by car. (You can’t walk there because of the railway between the two buildings.)

A real gem
This is a great starting point for young geologists. The show is held in a large gym. Many members exhibit their collections. You can watch lapidary work and jewelry making, gem cutting, soapstone carving and fossil preparation. Usually, there’s also a Mineral Identification Table where your child can take the “precious” stones he has found at the beach or on a trail, for the experts to identify.
