Garden with a view

Rosetta McClain Gardens is just off Kingston Road. Perched atop the cliffs, they offer a breathtaking view of Lake Ontario, 60 metres below. You can go round the paved trails of the gardens in about 20 minutes. Numerous benches allow visitors a chance to admire the landscaping. Kids like to take refuge underneath a beautiful band shell located at one end of the gardens. I went with my family on a perfect sunny autumn day, when the ground was littered with large leaves in bright red and yellow hues. On another occasion, on a rainy day, fog created a white screen that completely hid the lake from our view! The atmosphere was magical. It felt like we were cut off from the rest of the world.
