We crossed Jack Darling Park on the shores of Lake Ontario on our way to Rattray Marsh Conservation Area (leaving our car in the third parking lot). We did a 20-minute walk through several beaches and an interesting playground before reaching the entrance to the conservation area. I know friends whose kids had so much fun in the park that they never got to the marsh. We ourselves chose to follow the waterfront past the marsh’s entrance. It was worth the detour! It opened onto a wide pebble beach where my son built Stonehenge-like configurations. I'll need to come back to see what it looks like during the summer time.
