Scarborough RibFEST 2018 in this park August 3 to 6!

In my quest for a great stroller-accessible park, my wheels took me to Scarborough where I found a great paved trail in two adjoining parks with enough leafy woods to make it very pleasurable on a fall outing: Thomson Memorial Park and Birkdale Park. The picnic sites at Thomson Park are pretty and several are located under the trees. On the south side of the park is a small pond. When we visited, it was a pretty landscaped oasis located between two playgrounds and close to pens housing some farm animals. This park hosts the small Scarborough Historical Museum, sometimes offering activities for additional fun. The museum is set in the Cornell House, built in 1858 and moved from its original location into the park, which was the house of a family of ten! (And you thought you didn't have enough space, right?)
