Great boardwalk

Swimming is not allowed anymore in the reservoir of Scanlon Creek Conservation Area (the place is probably too popular with geese). But we can still go there for the lovely trail around the marsh, the pretty boardwalk, the wildlife and the fall colours. We prefer to park in the farthest parking lot, closer to the reservoir (at the western end with the sandy waterfront). The trail runs over the reservoir on a boardwalk across marshland. When we visited, the trail climbed up a forested hill and went east towards a bridge crossing the creek, leading us back to the beach at its other end in less than 45 minutes. The trail map shown on www.simcoecountytrails.net seemed to indicate it has changed since, but I checked on Google Satellite and it looked the same.
