While you are there: • We've walked 10 minutes northbound to a viaduct that seemed straight from the 19th Century, by a Timothy's café. The kids have enjoyed the original fountain with water streams of nearby Scrivener Square.

It's not all about the kids. Using the very cute Ramsden Park across from Rosedale Subway Station as an excuse, why not grab kid and stroller (and a girlfriend, preferably with the same life as yours) to hang around the posh Rosedale neighbourhood. Between Rosedale and Summerhill Subway Stations, you'll find high-end home decor stores alternating with restaurants and cafés. As for Ramsden Park itself, you can't see it from Yonge Street but in its back, it includes a nice playground and a wading pool in a very pretty setting.
