Rouge Park off Kingston Road (Scarborough)

High energy
Fall Color

On my wish list of places to visit

The path near the Glen Rouge Campground is the one that leads to the Riverside trail, which has the biggest trees of the whole Rouge Park. The high canopy scarcely allows sun beams to penetrate the forest. At the height of the summer, it is a great place to hide from the heat of the day. When we visited, the Riverside trail was closed to be rejuvenated. The path we could take instead was steep at times. It ran through the forest and reached a clearing in half an hour. I'm sure the trail along the river would be more interesting.
