We accessed Timothy Street Memorial Park from the entrance on the north-east side of the Main Street Bridge. I found its trail, running upstream along the Credit River, gorgeous in the fall. It led me in less than 40 minutes to the elevated part of the park where the River Grove Community Centre is located. It would have been too much for my little guy (having to walk back to the car!). But I returned with him, strolling down the trail from the other end, after having parked at the River Grove Community Centre (host of the amazing indoor pool of the River Grove Aquatics). With bigger kids, don't hesitate to explore any little path leading to the edge of the hill overlooking the river on the northern part of the park. One of those paths we took ran down to the shore, to an appealing stone path crossing the shallow river.
