The line is busy

The perfect activity around Father's Day (Sunday June 18, 2017)!

The tree-lined farm is a pretty sight with its two ponds, each adorned with a lazy paddle wheel that gently stirs the water. A small brick path runs alongside the bigger pond, allowing for strollers and wheelchairs to circulate. With the thousands of trout that inhabit the ponds, you can't go home empty-handed. And no stone was left unturned to cater to your needs in Burd's Family Fishing farm. They rent fishing gear, the employees offer courteous service, there's a rain shelter, and even a small playground with sandbox complete with toys (when we visited). After weighting our catch, an employee killed, cut and cleaned our fish way too fast to trouble my little Nosey Parker, who observed the whole scene with big... fish eyes. We ate our fresh trout that same night and found it was incredibly tasty. True, it was not a bargain compared to the market price but watching my little guy frantically winding his reel to bring in the fighting fish was worth a million. And the proud look on his face while we were eating his catch wasn't bad either.
