I was glad I made an impulse stop at this museum on my way back from another attraction in the area. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a full-size Huron longhouse inside the main complex. Around the corner awaited an indoor strip of a Victorian street lined with small (fake) shops. Further, a vast room was filled with antique furniture arranged to reconstruct whole Victorian rooms. There was a display of musical instruments and old cameras. There was a model bridge and miniature trains. After all this, the 16 outdoor historical buildings felt like a bonus. Right by the tiny school was a large bell we could ring. The train station was funny, with just a few metres of track. During the summer, they offer demonstrations and activities with a different theme each week.
