Catch the new wave

10th Annual Cobourg Sandcastle Festival: Saturday August 5, 2017!

As soon as my young mermaid saw the wide and long beach at Victoria Park, she darted off, sure of her way to a day of water fun. The shallow water is pleasantly refreshing, yet it warms up quickly in the middle of the summer. Swimmers walked through the waves some 50 metres ahead of us, while my daughter embarked on a digging engineering project in the water. She soon joined new friends for a game of wave catching and burying in the sand. As if it were not enough, there's a lovely and colourful spray pad by the boardwalk.

During the Sandcastle Festival, expect movie on the beach at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks display at 10:30 p.m.

Now’ that’s some great sand!
Quite a bonus’ on top of the great sand!

After years of doing all kinds of outings with my children, I can assure you the secret to a perfect outing lies in the details, not the destination.
