Gus Rider/Sunnyside Pool (Toronto)

Family Tested
High energy

Location, location

After a nice lunch by Lake Ontario at the Sunnyside Pavilion Café, my daughter and a friend broke some sweat climbing on the dinosaurs in the playground of Budapest Park, just east of it. Then, they were ready for a dip into adjacent Gus Rider/Sunnyside Pool. There's a retro feeling to this long pool built along the lake, with a dramatic entrance facing the Lake Shore Boulevard. There are wide stairs to enter the shallow end of the pool, with plenty of space for kids not to be in the way of serious swimmers.
