If you visit Stratford with kids during the summer, you've got to add a visit to Lions Pool to help them spend some energy after the car ride and before the 2 hours of seating-quietly-during-the-play in the evening. You'll find it across the bridge from the Information Centre on York Street, the prettiest block in town. Last time I visited, they only had the long pool but they now offer a waterplay area including a water umbrella, spraying palm trees, shooting streams, and small dumping buckets. Make sure you take in the view of the bridge and surrounding stone buildings for a glimpse of England. (More about Stratford Festival.)
