Wild Water & Wheels (Peterborough)

What's in a name?

In Wild Water & Wheels, Water stands for the 210-foot-long double spiral flume (for kids 42 inches and over) and the bumper boat ride (for those 48 inches and over). Wheels is for the go-kart circuit. When we visited, there was a merry-go-round, and a giant carpet slide, 145 feet long and 35 feet high, with 5 huge bumps, which was equally fun for the whole family. There were also batting cages and a mini golf. The real surprise for me was the Pipeline Express Coaster: a metal toboggan rolling on tracks on a structure 5 storeys high and 850 feet long. The view from the top was amazing, and the drop at the beginning of the ride, breathtaking! I hope it still stands. Theirs is a seasonal phone line so you can call them during the summer to confirm all these attractions are still offered, making it a must stop if you are in the area.
