They have good coffee and great snacks, in a pretty neighbourhood. • There’s a Baskin Robbins at the corner of Bloor and Christie but if you feel more adventurous, Koreatown starts there, with plenty of Asian little restaurants (your chance to introduce your kids to bubble tea).

Cosy feeling
I really like the layout of Christie Pits Park. The fact that the playground and the wading pool are at the bottom of the slopes provides an interesting and cosy viewpoint. There’s an outdoor pool with a double-twist slide. There are tall trees, hills to roll down or do some tobogganing in the winter (they also maintain a rink). A group of residents, the Friends of Christie Pits Park, have acquired an outdoor bake oven and there’s a will to emulate the experience of Dufferin Grove Park to generate more community spirit.
