Forsythia Festival in Cabbagetown (Toronto)

The yellow parade

Forsythia Festival is a cute and (very) small local family event. The best part is that YOU are in the parade. You start at Riverdale Farm and you get to stroll around Cabbagetown, admiring this neighbourhood's gorgeous houses along the way. The parade heads to lovely Wellesley Park (north on Sumach, east on Amelia) where you can expect entertainment, fire trucks and food stands. Try to wear something yellow (the colour of Forsythia flowers) to fit in! You can even go crazy. Last time we attended, a lady had covered herself with yellow balloons, kids had decorated their bikes with yellow paper flowers, people were carrying yellow umbrellas, etc.
