The Yellowstone Cave is located down some stairs near the suspension bridge in Belfountain Conservation Area. For years, it was closed to the public. Last time we visited, we finally got to enter its intriguing arch down the stairs to have a look. It was cold, dark and damp inside, contrasting with the bright sunny day shining through the door. Light rays also pierced in through holes in the ceiling. We could see the base of some man-made stalactites that were created initially (in early 1900’s) to simulate a cave. If you look carefully, you can see some interesting details carved in the stone. Around the Cave, you’ll find a cannon, a fountain and the piece de resistance: the suspension bridge.
