Labyrinth in High Park (Toronto)

High Park's labyrinth is hidden beyond the hill on the north side of Grenadier Restaurant's parking lot. Don't tell the kids! Casually suggest that they join the trail on the other side of the slope. They'll discover the labyrinth painted on a concrete circle.

It took me 5 minutes to follow the entire path within the circle. A meditation in itself. But don't expect that kind of meditative state from your kids. I've never seen kids NOT run in a labyrinth. It's part of the fun. See High Park and Jamie Bell Adventure Park for more on what the park has to offer.

Kids’ impulse is to run. You’ll see!
It took me 5 minutes to calmly walk to the end of this labyrinth.

After years of doing all kinds of outings with my children, I can assure you the secret to a perfect outing lies in the details, not the destination.
