The works

We arrived in the middle of the Pumpkin Festival. This means that in addition to the usual animal petting, cow milking sessions, entertainment, playground, maze, cut-out characters and seasonal displays the farm offers, we were also treated to a Boo Barn and a Haunted Barn. I inadvertently entered the Haunted Barn with my 3-year-old, intending on the more suitable Boo Barn. Big mistake! The place was so dark I could barely see my own hand, let alone the scary actors breathing down my neck. It left my youngest completely panicked but my then 7-year-old loved every minute of it. He later joined the show in another barn and was asked to assist the skillful magician do a good card trick.
