After an afternoon of running, jumping, sprawling and rolling in the play area at Chudleigh's Farm, you'll be extracting straw from your kids underpants! The site is huge but the layout of the attractions gives it the charming and intimate character of a village fair. It is better to allow the kids to let off steam before going apple or pumpkin picking; the playground is reason enough to visit this farm. It offered an exciting sliding experience, the slide being surrounded by a thick carpet of straw topped by bales of hay. Then, there was the wide maze made of more bales of hay, a fun petting zoo and climbing goats as well as a trail. The homemade soup served at the tempting outdoor market was delicious. Word of the wise: arrive early. They have policemen helping with the traffic during peek times!
