Less than a 15-minute drive from many other attractions in the Milton and Guelph regions (such as Hilton Falls, Kelso Fall Colours and Kelso Beach), you will find Springridge Farm on your way back home. It is ideal to loosen little legs, grab a delicious snack and finish off your outing nicely. Years ago, the spread of their market far exceeded what I expected from a farm market, now it's even bigger and has become a gift shop as well: broad selection of decorative accessories, small toys, books, preserves and, best of all, excellent pies, tarts, cookies, muffins, cakes, breads, hot soup and delicious sandwiches. All of which you can eat sitting inside in a n eating section, or outside. For the kids to enjoy: the huge Fun Farmyard (even better on the weekends: haystacks, animals to feed (goats in a mini silo), huge sandbox, old tractor to climb on, cut-outs of all sorts for photo ops. Most weekends, you can catch a pony ride (for a fee). Wagon rides are offered daily and included in the admission fee to the Fun Yard. A section of the vast farm is elevated, giving you a postcard panoramic view. During their Harvest Festival, expect puppet shows and boo barn on the weekends (including Thanksgiving Monday).
