I was told by a parent that there's another maple syrup event in the spirit of Warkworth Maple Syrup Festival, north of Peterborough: the McLean Berry Farm. During their Buckhorn Maplefest, they offer taffy on the snow (if fresh snow is available), musical shows, petting section, hay games, walking trail and more during 3 weekends.
