DeSerres is the largest retailer of art and craft supplies in Canada (it acquired Loomis & Toles in 1988). It has developed a vast network of international suppliers, which explains why this is a great place to find out about the latest craft ideas and products. Some of the stores are gorgeous, displaying many finished craft projects to inspire us and offering interesting demos (schedule on their website). They have 7 locations in the GTA but my favourite outlet is the Oakville store (which seems to be the biggest). Their other locations: Deserres near Eglinton Subway Station, Deserres near Woodbine Subway Station, Deserres on Dufferin, Deserres on Spadina, Deserres in Richmond Hill and Deserres in Pickering.
