Louise Kool & Galt's warehouse is well known by teachers but it is also open to the general public. It gives you access to products or formats not normally available in regular toys stores. You get a discount on the items you buy directly at the store but the selection offered online is wider. This is the only place where I found bags full of Lego bricks to fulfill my little contractor's creative needs when he was undertaking major building projects (regular kits don't include enough of these, do they?). On their website, I found cool thinks such as acrylic gems (1 lb for $30), set of 144 mini farm animals ($40), buckets of buttons, Crayola multicultural markers (in all shades of skin colour), animal track paint scrapers, small cash register for kids with real calculator, giant Tee-Pee ($160). I suggest you call to see if they have the items you like in store.
