2018: November 28 to December 1st

Now in its 26th edition, the Toronto French Book Fair (Le Salon du livre de Toronto) provides a place where you can buy French books and meet with authors from Quebec, Ontario, France and other francophone countries, with a great emphasis on children's books. Since the closing of the 40-year-old Toronto French bookstore Librairie Champlain in April 2009, it is your best option to buy books "en français". Thousands of kids flock from the French and immersion schools all around the GTA to attend workshops put together for them. The general public can usually enjoy French performers or popular French authors' presentations in the evenings. Venues hosting the event have varied over the years. You'll need to check their website to find out about the choice of venue for the current year.
