Don't remain seated
Where else can your kids leave their seat and stretch their legs while watching a movie? At home, watching a video?… True, but here, you get to see the latest movies and you have a chance to socialize. Well, maybe not you, but your kids will! We had an hour to kill before the sunset and kids were playing ball under the big screen at 5 Drive-In. My son engaged in a game with his new friends. Some families were real pros at making the most of a drive-in. I saw a minivan parked with open hatchback facing the screen, allowing two teenagers to lay down on their bellies to watch the movie. Their parents were comfortably seated wrapped in blankets on folding chairs, feet up on a footstool and their small dog on their lap. Simple pleasures at work here.
