Six Nations Fair (Ohsweken)

Circles and wheels

In order to reach the powwow's dance circle, we had to cross a gravel road that had been blocked. With other visitors, we waited patiently (wondering why exactly). All of a sudden, a four-horse wagon flashed by, leaving a huge cloud of dust behind. Now we got it: Crossing the road in the middle of the chuck wagon race at the Six Nations Fair would be a perilous affair! After enjoying many dance competitions, we headed to the midway section. Like in many other fairs, the event, which takes place in Ohsweken Fair Grounds, may also include birds of prey demonstration, rodeo or even a demolition derby. It changes every year.
