The whole story

With a collection of farm and exotic animals, StoryBook Garden could almost qualify as a small zoo but as its name indicates, its primary mission is to display within gardens various decorative sets inspired by children's fairy tales. The live harbour seals playing in a large pool are kids' favourites. Deeper in the park is a great play area with a giant spider web, a three-storey-high slide, an impressive pirate ship and a tree house, among other things. A great feature is the colourful spray pad with water cannons, bucket dumps and sprays: a blast for kids of all ages. You can also watch a cute little show, catch a small train outside the gardens or a carousel ride by the river. The attraction is located by a bike trail running along the river. Last time we visited, my husband and friends went for a bike ride while we enjoyed ourselves at the theme park. Everybody was happy!
