Raptors at Air Canada Centre (Toronto)

Thanks Dad!

I had to see it to believe it: boys and girls, some barely 5 years old, eagerly following the game! The truth is the enthusiasm of a roaring crowd is contagious and every minute, when the basketball teams are not competing, is filled with action. When it's not the mascot Raptor fooling around with spectators by the aisles, it's the Raptors Dance Pack (cheerleaders) hitting the floor, or the half-time act. At one point, a rain of metre-long balloons fell from the ceiling over the Lower Bowl Endzone and Baseline Prime sections behind the visitor's basket (we later found out they were to be used by the fans to distract any opponent focusing on their free throws). No wonder I heard a grateful boy exclaim, on the way back to their car: Thanks Dad for taking me!
