The whole pond is cleared and managed by the Town of Richmond Hill. A sign indicates the ice condition. There's an outdoor place to put on your skates and leave your boots, and a small playground. When we visited, there even were some cages with geese and swans. A paved trail runs along the pond into a small forest. Public parking lot and washrooms are located across the street. The best time to skate on this pond would be during Richmond Hills' Winter Carnival on the first weekend of February. It has been going on for over 40 years.
