Weather permitting, Nathan Phillips Square's reflecting pool turns into an ice rink artificially maintained at freezing level (providing the external temperature doesn't exceed 8 degrees Celsius). They offer rental service. I had the surprise to learn that the services were maintained even on December 25 and January 1. A great time to visit is during the Cavalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square when you can expect a DJ to warm up the place on a few Saturdays prior to Christmas.
