Tobogganing at Riverdale Park East

Family Tested

Panoramic slope

Toronto's most challenging slope sits at Riverdale Park East (east of the Don Valley). It is quite broad, steep and long, and offers a stunning view of downtown Toronto's skyline. Hang on to your hats if the slope is even just slightly icy. In fact, it is best to avoid the area all together when the shiny crust covers the slopes, as it becomes almost impossible to climb back up (as we found out for ourselves)! Whatever the conditions, make sure your kids don't loose their toboggan before they have a chance to hop on it. You don't want to have to go fetch it down the slope, believe me! Good news is the Rooster Coffee House recently opened across the street. Hot chocolate, anyone?
