The Buskerfest in the heart of Ontario

2017: Friday, June 2 (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.), Saturday, June 3 (11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.), Sunday, June 4 (11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

The Dundas International Buskerfest has been going on for 20 years but I never got the chance to visit it. I will finally visit it this year. Their roster is ambitious and promises a fantastic ambiance along King Street West between Main Street and John Street in Dundas, near Hamilton (not to be confused with Dundas BIA in Toronto!). They offer shows on 5 stages, plenty of roaming action and a Kids Area on Saturday and Sunday. Apparently new this year, they've added many workshops for kids. Based on the description of their busker acts (many from the USA), the feeling seems to be similar to the Toronto Buskerfest. Genuine family fun. Bring Toonies for the kids to give to the artists, it's part of the fun. I'll add a photo gallery following my first visit!
