South Beach

The Agincourt Recreation Centre includes aqua-coloured water, water slides, a waterside snack bar and… spraying palm trees as a bonus (they used to be coconut trees). It wasn't long before my son and other little pirates launched an attack on the fun, ship-wreck-shaped waterslide. Behind the wading pool is a small intermediate pool, perfect for introducing children to swimming. Further to the right, swimmers 48 inches and over can go down the gigantic, spiral-shaped waterslide into a small receiving pool. To the left, bathers 13 years and older can soak in the warm water of a Jacuzzi. I really liked the tables especially set up for swimmers in their bathing suits, overlooking the palm trees and the pool area. The illusion of being down South would have been perfect if it weren't for the observers standing in their winter coats on the other side of the bay window.
