Life on a mini scale

We had visited and loved the unique indoor playground Mary’s Playland on Bloor Street. Under a new administration, it has closed its doors in 2011 to reopen under the new name of The Busy Genie, on Dundas Street West. I have not had the opportunity to visit is but the new owner has assured me that she has kept the same concept and simply moved it in a space twice as big. You will find, side-by-side, a little house fully equipped with kitchen, dining room and living room on the second floor, a beauty salon that can accommodate a few clients, a garage (gas pump, tools and hard-hat included), a grocery store outfitted with food carts and produce displays. You will also find a basketball hoop and a multicoloured ball pit. She’s added a soft foam play area for the little ones and a bounce castle and cool plasma ride-on toys for the bigger siblings.
